We’re having a blast at the Artist-Led Market @k

We’re having a blast at the Artist-Led Market @kaleidofestival! There’s just over an hour left to stop by and shop for original artwork directly from the artists we support.

Find us on 118 Ave, right in front of our building until 4pm today.

Deserie Dick is bringing her collection of critter

Deserie Dick is bringing her collection of critters to our Artist-Led Market tomorrow at @kaleidofestival! These wonderfully wild sculptures always go fast, so be sure to come early if you want to grab one.

The market will be set up on 118 Ave in front of our building from 12-4PM on Saturday, September 16. See you there!

We are so excited for our second annual Artist-Led Market on Saturday, September 16th from 12-4 PM! This is your chance to buy original artwork and handmade items directly from Nina artists. The market is during @kaleidofestival, so there will be tons of free family-friendly activities and performers to check out!

Congratulations to our 2023 @rbc Emerging Artists on their exhibition, ‘if walls could talk, if floors had eyes’!

It was a privilege to have these six artists working alongside our collective all summer, sharing ideas and skills and helping us with special projects.

Their group exhibition is up in our Stollery Gallery until September 12. Stop by Monday - Friday from 9am - 3pm or Saturdays 1 - 3pm.

Congratulations to Gerald Bourlon on his solo exhibition, ‘Deaf Creation’!

This exhibition of tile mosaics will be up in our Stollery Gallery until July 28.*

*Note that we will be closed on Saturday, July 15 for a private event.

Upcoming exhibition ‘Deaf Creation’ showcases

Upcoming exhibition ‘Deaf Creation’ showcases mosaics by Gerald Bourlon, an artist who has been creating ceramic tile and glass mosaics at the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts since 2016.

Exhibition: July 6th – 28th, 2023
Reception: July 13th, 5 – 7 PM

ASL interpretation will be provided at the reception. Our gallery is wheelchair accessible. Please contact janice@thenina.ca with any other accessibility requests.

The ATB Place food court continues to come to life

The ATB Place food court continues to come to life with murals depicting “Edmonton Spirit” by artists from the Nina! The latest two murals to go up are reproductions of watercolour paintings of the Edmonton river valley and Art Gallery of Alberta (@youraga) by Raymond Keung. You can see them on the lower level of ATB Place, next to the murals by Jamie Laventure that went up earlier this year.

Five artists from the Nina have teamed up with @la

We had a fantastic time at @nait’s #AccessAbilit

We had a fantastic time at @nait’s #AccessAbility Symposium yesterday! We are very appreciative of NAIT for hosting such a great event and inviting us to be a part of it.

Nina Artist and Community Outreach staff member Jared Quinney spoke on behalf of the Nina Collective and displayed his artwork alongside paintings by Dean Olesky and sculptures by Carrie Wheeler (@carriewheeler567). Jared says that a highlight of the event was meeting keynote speaker Dr. James Makokis (@creeture82).

Jared Quinney will be speaking at @nait’s #AccessAbility Symposium this Thursday! There will also by artwork on display by Carrie Wheeler (@carriewheeler567) and Dean Olesky.
