Mist Forest by John Barayuga

John Barayuga was born in the Philippines and grew up in Edmonton.

He says it feels like he has been doing art for all of his life. At the Nina, he enjoys drawing and painting figurines, landscapes and buildings. He works patiently and with great attention to detail. Making art helps him to feel relaxed and good and more confident, he says.

John’s work has been featured in several group exhibition and a solo exhibition in the Nina’s Marian Allen Kitchen Gallery. John is also an excellent dancer and has participated in the Nina Dance Collective.
