Meet Maria Laycock

The Nina is pleased to introduce our new Chief Executive Officer, Maria Laycock!

Maria is a graduate with a business diploma from NAIT, specializing in marketing. She spent a number of years working in marketing management before moving onto management in the hotel and restaurant industry. She took a break from full time work to raise 3 active children in St. Albert before embarking on a six-year journey as owner/operator of a children’s art studio. Since 2019 Maria has been an educational assistant with The GRIT Program, working alongside young children with disabilities and using art as a creative learning outlet. Maria has been on a number of not-for-profit boards having most recently served as the co-chair of St. Albert Cultivates the Arts. This board is responsible for facilitating annual Culture Days activities in St. Albert.

Maria will be working alongside former CEO Rona Fraser, who has transitioned to a new role as our Chief Development Officer.
