Schipperkes Pillow by Amanda Bauer
Out of stock
“My inspiration for the pillow was my dog Piper, she is everything to me” – Amanda
Amanda Bauer hand stitched the felt schipperke dogs onto yellow fabric, using beads for the noses and eyes. Staff Artist Hilary Mussell then sewed the textile piece into a pillowcase at Amanda’s request.
One of a kind handmade throw pillow. Approximately 16 x 16 inches.
Spot clean only.
Amanda first found her calling in art while hospitalized when a nurse gave her a page to colour. Soon she was colouring, drawing, and making bead jewellery. She views her time at the Nina as an outlet and a way to push herself out of her comfort zone. With help from our professional staff artists here at the Nina she has created many artworks using clay and fabrics.
She finds inspiration in everything and anything in her life, her own artwork included. She has recreated her pieces using different mediums, as well as combining them. She enjoys making artwork that is useful. Through her artwork she practices being less negative by incorporating positivity into her pieces.
