Ceramic sculpture by Dale Donahue

6.5″ H x 10″ W x 3″ D

Dale Donahue is a longtime artist at the Nina working in ceramic sculpture and printmaking. He is fascinated with animals and will often create multiple depictions of a single species in different mediums. A big sports fan, Dale also creates work inspired by his favorite teams, the Edmonton Football Team and the Oilers.

In 2018, Dale created a series of drypoint prints inspired by Rob Hislop’s photography of Rwandan mountain gorillas, which were included in a group exhibition in the Stollery Gallery. One of his prints was also selected for exhibition in Glasgow, Scotland, in Project Ability’s 2019 Christmas Show.

Dale works in landscaping part time and enjoys working outside cutting grass in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter.
