a weekly drop-in art class for adults of all skill levels. Classes are lead by a practicing professional artists and cover a variety of artistic mediums and techniques.
when:
every tuesday night from September to June, 6:30-8:30PM (excluding holidays). Please arrive on time.
who:
all adults in the community are welcome regardless of skill level or experience. No children please – check out Family Art Night on Thursday for a kid-friendly class.
where:
the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts, 9225 118 Ave NW. Please enter through the side door along 93rd Street. The front door is locked for security.
Thanks to a generous donation from Macewan University, every class is free!
There is no need to register or buy supplies. Just show up at the start of class ready to make art.

May 12 Experimenting with vellum and inks
May 19 Using analogous colour with oil pastel and tempera paints
May 26 Exploring gel medium to transfer images
Some projects may be completed using a step-by-step process, others will be more flexible and open ended. All will allow you to use your own individuality and creative expression in an open environment. Each person has an opportunity to create something personal and meaningful while also making new friends and building bonds within the Alberta Avenue community.
