About this artist
David Dang begins his day at the Nina by checking on global news, especially those stories related to nuclear arms. David’s drawings and paintings show his fascination with Armageddon and planetary destruction. He has done a series of giant red skulls and experimented with several other icons of calamity and death. In every work, a solitary figure fills the space, substantial and urgent.
David works in drawing and painting as well as print making. He is also a participant in the Nina’s dance program. He recently started working at the Nina’s studio space in the Orange Hub building where he is concentrating on creating a series of large dinosaur apocalypse paintings.
