About The Artist

Holly Sabourin is an artist from Kátł’odeeche First Nation in Hay River, Northwest Territories. For the past several years, Holly has worked at the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts where she has developed and refined her skills to create a collection of detailed sculptures. While her work generally depicts animals or people, she has also created several abstract geometric pieces, experimenting with pattern and shape. Holly works with great patience and focus in each stage of her creative process. Her meticulous practice and delicate touch result in thoughtful creations, each with a unique charm and personality. Holly’s work has been exhibited in several spaces in Edmonton, St. Albert, and Spruce Grove. In 2017, Holly received the “Create” award, presented by World Stone Inc. annually to an artist who has developed an impressive body of work at the Nina. A collection of Holly’s Alberta Wildlife sculptures are sold in the gift shop of the Royal Alberta Museum.  View Holly’s artist profile
